How To Hold Your Food & Knife.

The Pinch Grip

Wrap last three fingers around the handle..

Then place your thumb on the left side of the blade.
Then place your index finger on the right side of the blade. 

The Claw Grip


Shape your hand like you’re holding a ball, with your thumb tucked behind and touching your pinky to form a safe cutting grip.



Place the knife gently against the first joint of your index and middle fingers, keeping it close to the fingernails for full control.


Slide or hop your fingers slightly back as you slice. The distance you move them controls the size and consistency of each cut.


The Handle Grip

Wrap your fingers around the handle and rest your thumb along the spine for support.

Rest your thumb along the spine or side of the handle for support.

Keep your grip firm but relaxed to maintain control and reduce fatigue.

Gently pull the knife back toward you without pressing down.
